For anyone who want to try to make a cable stich but havent a cable hook yet.. Just try with my method. Use this empty filler ballpoint or straw for mineral water as a cable hook. The result is the same if you use a cable hook.. Happy knitting always :)

Good I idea! I have also used pencils, safety pins, and the teeth of combs! It's funny how, if you really need something, it'll be there.
